Home Grown Energy

Solar + Storage

The proposed Glady Run project includes up to 400 MWac/480MWdc of power generation and 1,600 megawatt-hours of energy storage on private land leased to Clēnera. The landowners chose to partner with Clēnera and lease part of their commercial timber land for this project. It will diversify their business and help power the region while they do it.

This facility will generate enough home grown, fuel-free energy to power over 85,000 Virgina homes!

Locally Produced Energy

As Spotsylvania continues to grow, the Glady Run Solar + Storage facility will be a major energy generation asset that preserves the area’s rural way of life

  • Private land use transitions from commercial timber to fuel-free energy generation

  • Land continues to be used in economic production instead of suburban sprawl

Design That Fits

The proposed design for this facility preserves a minimum 100-foot buffer of forest between the panels and public views. Most people won’t even know it’s there.
